Admissions

    The Second Step

Once you’ve had a chance to ask questions, we’ll start the assessment process. You’ll spend about an hour talking to one of our intake coordinators about your medical history, substance use, general health, wellness concerns and rights to recovery. These sessions are completely confidential, and we can do your assessment in person, over the phone or by teleconference; whatever works best for you.

From there, our intake coordinators will make treatment recommendations. They’ll talk to you about what programs might be appropriate for you and explain their recommendations, which may include starting your recovery at one of our detox centers in Orange County.

This process is a big and often emotional step, and there’s a lot to take in. We’re here to help, so our intake coordinators can also communicate with your other medical providers and with your loved ones. We’re dedicated to helping you find the program that’s right for you, and we’ll let you know if we think another program might serve your unique needs better than Altus can.

  • The Third Step

  • If you decide to seek treatment at one of our detox centers in Orange County, we’ll coordinate with you to make the necessary arrangements. We will help you figure out what to pack, when to come and how to get here. And if you have any special requirements or preferences, we’ll share them with our staff in advance of your arrival.

When you check in, we’ll be here to welcome you to Altus and get the lay of the land before you begin treatment. All of us at Altus are grateful for the opportunity to help a new client, and we look forward to meeting you.
